Stop bullying it can ruin people mentally and physically. Don't ever bully no one deserves it. If you bully that means someone bullied you or something is going on in family like a death, divorsion, or parents are fighting. If you think you are cool because of bullying you are wrong no one likes a bully besides a bully or the sidekicks. STOP BULLYING SPEAK UP. WORDS CAN HURT PEOPLE SO BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY. (ps:this is a 6th grader so don't think I'm an adult sometimes kids are smarter than adults. We know more about bullying sometimes not from experiencing themselves but from there friends. My friend is bullied because he is a foster kid and some people think I'm friends with him because i feel bad no I'm a true friend to anyone who will be my true friend!!!!!)

Social media is a huge part of our world today and has an incredible impact on the younger generations. Selfies have become the new "thing" and more and more individuals are posting pictures of themselves. Because of this trend cyber bullying is even a bigger problem. Those who do the bullying have it easier now that we post every move of ours on the web. Now, this does not mean that we should cease all media interactions because of what is being said about us or someone else, but it shows just how vulnerable each individual can be. In a 2015 survey on cyber bulling 33% percent of the individuals reported to have received online threats. 25 % had received threats either through their phone or internet. One of the most astonishing results is that 95% of individuals who saw cyberbulling happening on social media cites did nothing.
The emotional impact that cyber bulling can have is tremendous. Emotions can range from depression, insecurity, low self-esteem, loneliness, anger, and helplessness. As a Christian this breaks my heart. It breaks my heart to know that words can have such an impact on individuals and some choose to say words that are demeaning and hurtful. God tells us to love our neighbor as ourselves and uplift those who around us. For example, Ephesians 4:9 commands us let no corrupting talk come out of our mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
So the next time you think about commenting on someone's looks, intelligence, or behavior, think about if you were in their shoes. Think about the words that will show up on the screen. Think about the families who have had to help their child cope with threats and insults. Think about the families who have lost a loved one because of cyber bulling. Think about if you were them.
